The Town of Waitsfield will vote on a bond to build a new Town Public Works Facility, known as “Goodman's Garage”, on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The vote is by Australian ballot, held as a Special Town Meeting. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Waitsfield Elementary School, 3951 Main Street.
The ballot asks whether the Town should issue general obligation bonds or notes in an amount not to exceed $5,975,000 to construct the facility at 761 Tremblay Road. The amount is subject to reduction by grants-in-aid or other sources.
Ballots are available now. You may vote early or by absentee ballot any time between now and the close of business at the Town Office on Monday, November 2. If you prefer to vote in person, the polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on November 3 at the Waitsfield Elementary School.
Before the vote, the Selectboard will hold a public informational hearing on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Waitsfield Town Office, 4144 Main Street. You are welcome to attend in person or remotely.
