Role and Responsibilities
The Town Administrator is appointed by the Selectboard and serves as Waitsfield’s principal staff member. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing policies set by the Selectboard
- Overseeing town operations and departments
- Preparing and managing the annual town budget
- Supervising town employees
- Acting as the main point of contact between residents and the Selectboard
- Policy Development Support – While they implement policy, they also frequently research and advise on policy matters.
